Before adding the cleaning solution, use a microfiber cloth to remove any debris or other debris.
Mix warm water and natural dishwashing liquid.
Dip a clean microfiber cloth or sponge into the mixture.
Wipe the countertop.
Rinse with clean water to remove soap residue.
Dry the countertop with a clean microfiber cloth.

For severe stains, you can take a few steps depending on the nature of the stain you are trying to remove.
For sticky stains, just a little hot water will do the trick.
Dip a damp microfiber cloth in hot water.
Place the cloth over the stain and let it sit for a few minutes.
Dry the countertop with a clean microfiber cloth.

If you notice some water rings or stains on your granite countertop, don't worry, these are easy to remove.
Rub the stain with a microfiber cloth in circular motions.
Apply a mixture of mild dish soap and water (or all-purpose cleaner) to the stain.
Use a microfiber cloth to wipe dry in the same circular motions.

For stubborn stains, you'll need a stronger cleaner than water and dish soap.
Mix baking soda and water to form a paste.
Apply the paste to the stain and let it sit for a few minutes.
Wipe off the paste with a soft cloth.
Rinse with clean water.
